Swim and Water Polo Teams - 2010

Hello Hobson West Swim Team Families,
We are looking forward to another summer of recreational swimming at Hobson West
and hope to see many returning families.
We are pleased to announce that Adam Parker and Erin Lamb will be our new head
coaches for 2010. Please look on the website for all of the coaches’ bios in early April after
we finalize our coaching staff.
As we enter the 2010 recreational swim season, the Waves have four scheduled home
meets (down from five), the loss of the Mavericks’ pool rental fee (with the opening of
Matea Valley’s pool) and an unconfirmed work spot at Ribfest. In spite of these financial
challenges, we were able to keep the registration increase to only $10 per swimmer and
hope to meet all our costs.
For your planning purposes, the summer dual meet schedule is posted on our website.
Classic and City are both a week earlier than in the past so our swim season will conclude
with the Awards/Party on Sunday July 25th.
Shortly, Membership will be contacting last year’s swim families regarding registration. To
better manage the openings for non-resident swimmers, the board is asking for a verbal
commitment by way of completed paperwork one week prior to registration.
Physical registration is still required on March 20th.
Coach Adam and Coach Erin want to encourage all swimmers to wear caps with their
names again this year. The caps can be ordered at registration.
The swim team board has an opening for photographer/end of year slide show. We have
a very workable plan to make it a less daunting challenge and hope to hear from a family
willing to take on the slide show as their job board assignment. Please email

possible openings.
