Board News
First, we'd like to publicly thank Troy and Amy Jackson for their long commitment to the Waves swim community, particularly in the last two years as swim team presidents. Troy and Amy were tireless in their efforts to produce successful swim seasons. They have truly been advocates for children, and for swimming. They will be a tough act to follow. We also want to say thank you to several departing board members who have served the Waves for many years, often in behind the scenes jobs: Laura and Clay Ciha, Sally Parker, Karen Frey, Sheri Ciliak, Martha Garcia, Mickey Chong, Carol Baird and Lisa Nervig. Registration and Membership
Please direct all membership questions to Bev Schafman or Kristen Hiepler, the Membership Chairs. Please direct anyone interested in the non-resident waitlist to Bev or Kristen as well at swimteammembership@hobsonwest.org. A registration date will be announced soon. Please note that this year, non-resident commitments (paperwork) will be due a week before physical registration. If you know you won't be returning, kindly email swimteammembership@hobsonwest.org and we will remove your email from the distribution list.

Coaches
Lauren Carpenter (last summer's head coach) and Colin Bining (a lead assistant for the past few years) are both making plans for full-time employment in the coming months and will not be returning as coaches to Hobson West. We are pleased to announce that Adam Parker and Erin Lamb will be the Co-Head Coaches for the 2010 season. Adam and Erin have substantial experience with Hobson West as both swimmers and assistant coaches and are excited to make the team their own. Look for updated bios on the website later this winter. Some of you will know the new lead assistant coach, Jack Howenstine. Jack is a past Hobson West and NCHS swimmer and water polo player and has been a co-head coach and assistant coach of the Hobson West Water Polo team. Jack will be working with older swimmers. Additionally, we are pleased that Jen Schafman, Jay Howenstine, Stephanie Jackson and Madison Nervig will be returning. We will firm up all coaching assignments after registration.

Returning junior and assistant coaches do not need to submit new applications. A dual meet schedule should be available by early March.
