Hi All!
The
following was sent to the city yesterday.
Ms. Ellingson emailed that she agreed that the DuPage Forest Preserve
should be included.

Case #1564 - 1000 Plainfield/Naperville Rd. & Ponds of Hobson West Parks
Gentlemen:
Thank
you for your positive action about the possibility of the subject property
becoming park land.
At the
end of the discussion on this subject I had stood up at the foot of the aisle
hoping that the Mayor would recognize me after he had invited Mr. Brestal to
further address the Council.
If the
mayor had recognized me I would have requested that the directive to the city
staff include the DuPage Forest Preserve in the list of organizations to have
meetings with.
I
certainly hope that this can be arranged.
I reference the article by Jennifer Golz (jgolz@scn1.com 630/416-5278)
on page 5, Oct 18, 2006, Naperville Sun where the $68 million referendum on the NOV 7 ballot to acquire 500 acres
of open space is discussed. Mr. Carl
Schultz, Forest Preserve Commissioner ( cschultz@dupageforest.com ) has talked
to a number of organizations drumming up support.
A final
request, I would appreciate and invitation to attend any such meetings which
are arranged.
Thank
you again for your action.
Doug
